課程總覽

C課課程議題在探索神經系統和認知的關係;著重在注意力、視覺、語言、動作控制和記憶。介紹基礎神經解剖、功能造影技術,以及認知的行為測量等議題,並討論方法以推論認知的大腦基礎;並且仔細思考神經疾病患者(阿茲海默症、帕金森氏症、亨汀頓氏症、巴林氏症候群、健忘症,與中風導致的損害等等)與正常受試者的研究證據。研究所學分須另外作一份計劃。

Course Overview

Course topics explores the relations between neural systems and cognition, emphasizing attention, vision, language, motor control, and memory. An introduction to basic neuroanatomy, functional imaging techniques, and behavioral measures of cognition is given with discussion of methods by which inferences about the brain bases of cognition are made. Considers evidence from patients with neurological diseases (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Balint's syndrome, amnesia, and focal lesions from stroke) and from normal human participants. An additional project is required for graduate credit.
